Cute B&B in an old converted church. There is an old cemetery across the street that provided some history. My daughter and I stayed in a room with two twin beds that were comfortable albeit squeaky. There is supposed to be free wifi however we were not able to get a wifi signal in our room. The breakfast was good with made to order eggs. There was a Shakespeare play across the way however we missed it because we were taking in the local hike. The view when you get to the top is nothing short of spectacular and was my daughters favourite hike of our trip to Newfoundland. The starting point is the B&B so there was little preparation required outside of good walking shoes and water.
Just the right amount of out of the way, off the beaten path. Very cozy and has a tastey seasonal restaurant. Beautiful trails close by with awesome Newfoundland scenery to enjoy!
I ordered the Chowder, needed a bit of extra salt and pepper, but after that was delicious! Biggest problem was I offered my husband a bite and he ended up eating about a third of it! He had the turkey sandwiche and said it was delicious. If you stop to eat, consider strolling along the 2.7km Burnt Head loop trail before or after your meal. It was lovely!
Excellent place for lunch or dinner menu has great options and prices are excellent. The service was AMAZING! Will be back!
